Bucket List: 5 Destinations To Visit in Spring

April 16, 2018

So apparently it’s Spring over here in Alberta, Canada, but I’m struggling to see the colourful blooms or anything reminiscent of the season change. In fact, as I write this, we’re preparing for a few days of imminent snow flurries. So while we’re waiting on the physical season change here, I’m dreaming up colourful getaways […]

So apparently it’s Spring over here in Alberta, Canada, but I’m struggling to see the colourful blooms or anything reminiscent of the season change. In fact, as I write this, we’re preparing for a few days of imminent snow flurries. So while we’re waiting on the physical season change here, I’m dreaming up colourful getaways for Spring in the rest of the world. Here are the spring Destinations at the top of my bucket list.

#1: Kyoto, Japan, To See The Cherry Blossoms

According to the Invisible Tourist, now until mid-April is the best time to see the Cherry Blossoms in Kyoto and I’m kind of sad we don’t have a trip planned! This trip has been on my bucket-list for a while, but with more and more of these pictures popping up on my Instagram, I do hope we get to go soon!

Spring Destinations

#2: Marrakesh, Morocco

Believe it or not, Morocco does get cold, so avoid winter and rather go in Spring when it’s warming up and you can waft around in your Instagram-worthy kaftan without the need for more layers.

#3: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Tulips are not the only reason you should visit this city in Spring, there are loads listed here, so head on over to this beautiful canal city this Spring!

Spring Destinations

#4: Paris, France

We love Paris in Fall because there is something so dreamy about a grey and cosy day in Laduree sipping hot chocolate… But then again, Paris always a good idea — no matter the weather. Plus, warmer weather would mean more daylight to explore and a definite picnic date in front of the Eiffel Tower. No wonder we fell in love with this city, it’s magnifique!

Spring Destinations

#5: San Francisco, California

Spring is actually one of the best times to visit San Fran, thanks to the mild temperatures and lack of rainfall. Plus, there will hardly be any tourists in town! So we will be taking our own advice and heading to the Bay this weekend! Follow along Instagram to see what we get up to!

Ready for warmer temps,

~ Leigh
