You might not know, but I am a huge home decor enthusiast! HGTV is almost always on in the background (Shoutout to Joanna & Chip Gaines) and I pin images to my “Dream House’ board on the daily. So when we got invited to tour the Full House Lottery Homes, I obviously had to go! And so do you! Whether you’re hoping to win one of them (buy tickets here), or just grab some inspiration, best get your A into G and head down there soon! Here’s a recap of trends that I am loving:

#1: All White Kitchens

Because you’ll never have a bad photo day, am I right?! Perfect white backdrops for the Gram is pretty much the main reason why I’m into this trend. But it’s clean, crisp and inviting for all of your guests!

#2: Big Windows & Loads of Natural Light

This is the main reason we bought our current house: HUGE WINDOWS. I am a total sucker for bright homes because it actually affects my mood, and chances are it affects you too! Every house boasted more than your average amount of windows including some floor-to-ceiling ones.

#3: Hexagonal Shapes

Adding texture is the new MUST when decorating your home. The designers in these homes sure did that by making use of cool hexagonal shapes and designs throughout the houses. Look out for the hexagonal tile in the Master Bath in House 1, the hexagonal wall feature behind the TV in House 2 and the hexagonal tile feature as you enter House 3.

#4: All The Nooks!

I love that there were nooks throughout the house where you could grab a book and cuddle up on a rainy day!

#5: #BathGoals

ALL the homes had amazing big baths that would require a bubble bath soak, with wine glass in hand, at least once a week. No more bath-come-shower combos, only the best stand alone #BathGoals kinda tubs over here! Complete with gorgeous glass gigantic showers that you could probably host a party in. I see where they’re going with it: #SaveWaterShowerTogether?! 😉

#6: Going Big in The Basement… OR The Rooftop!

One of the houses has a full on home theatre and entertainment area and one has a yoga/gym area with a crafts room! BUT The Grand House Prize boasts the reason your place will become the go-to party house… a Rooftop Deck! YES! The third story of this house is a hostesses dream!

#7: Hardwood Flooring

The Oak Hardwood Floors in all the houses had me so excited! They’re definitely going into our dream house when we get to build in a few years and here’s why: it’s timeless and has a way longer life-span than most other flooring options. Also, Shea from Studio McGee (my other home interior decor hero!) almost always uses it in her designs (like here) and it just adds even more brightness and warmth to a space!

#8: Wine Cellars

Wine cellars are all the rage, clearly! And now I know I must have one in my house! The wine cellars make for stunning art and design features within the homes. The Grand Prize 2 Option 2 even had a wine fridge/bar in the ‘Mother-in-law’ bedroom. I mean, that’s foresight right?!
